Thermography service: the creation of thermal images (thermography) is a very versatile measurement procedure. Thermal imaging measurements and monitoring solutions can be found in almost every industry, from architecture, healthcare, military, police, and fire departments. Among non-military applications, examples include examining the insulation of buildings, pipelines, and refrigerated warehouses.
Additionally, inspection of electrical cables and connections, maintenance-oriented condition monitoring of rotating machinery and equipment, quality control during manufacturing (based on certain product parameters - think, for example, refrigerators, heating equipment) and process control (e.g., technological supervision of lamp production), development tasks (e.g., in power electronics), biological and chemical experiments, as well as medical measurements and experiments.
Our company's years of experience, high-level professional knowledge (holding a Level 3 thermography accreditation since 2008) guarantee the production of thermographically correct - evaluable and accurate - thermal images. Thanks to the German company InfraTec, we have various types of thermal cameras, allowing us to solve almost all of the aforementioned tasks.
Thermography service
Condition monitoring of rotating machinery and electric motors
- Detection of faulty bearings (very effective for conveyors!)
- Identification of incorrect settings (e.g., shaft alignment)
- Detection of thermal overload, insufficient cooling
- Inspection of electrical connections (cables, switches, frequency converters)
Condition monitoring of buildings, architectural measurements
- Inspection and classification of insulation in residential, public, and industrial buildings (according to MSZ EN ISO 6781-1:2023 /previously EN 13187/ and BREEAM)
- Inhomogeneity of structural elements
- Indirect condition monitoring of structures (e.g., inspection of bridges, tunnels, searching for and classifying renovations)
- Preparation of building renovation and repair activities and quality control of execution
- Discovery of hidden structural elements (fasteners, wooden beams, trusses, voids, cables)
- Identification of moisture infiltration and its causes
Building and HVAC measurements
- Detection of leaks and sealing faults
- Localization and precise determination of hidden cables
- Optimization and evaluation of HVAC equipment operation
- Inspection of heating and cooling equipment (surfaces)
Energy industry inspections
- Condition monitoring of electrical equipment (transformers, insulators, switches, conductors, cables, connections, distribution equipment in high, medium, and low voltage networks)
- Assessment of heat exchangers and heat distribution pipes
- Identification of heat losses
- Inspection of pipe and equipment insulation
Development, manufacturing, and process control measurements
- Product development and optimization according to specific thermal requirements
- Optimization of manufacturing processes with special process temperature requirements (e.g., setting and tuning heating or cooling cycles)
- Non-destructive material testing and quality control
- Identification of faults in electronic and microelectronic connections and components (e.g., short circuits, thermal overload)
- Inspection of electrical equipment (main and sub-distribution boards, control cabinets, connections, electrical consumers)
- Regular or periodic technological and fire safety inspections (e.g., waste storage, coal storage, wood drying, sammot walling, conveyor bearings...)
Medical applications
- Human and veterinary medicine
- Diagnosis of tumors, inflammations, and peripheral circulatory disorders
Advantages of thermography services
- During repairs, only the problems identified based on measurements need to be addressed
- Unnecessary repairs of well-functioning machinery and equipment are avoided
- Savings in repair time and labor (reduced overtime and weekend work)
- Lower component costs (fewer parts, less urgent procurement)
- Increased availability of machinery
- Reduction in the number and severity of unexpected failures or shutdowns
- Planned maintenance schedules can be established
- Reduced need for spare parts inventory
