The MobIR-M8 is a very compact thermal camera that can easily fit in your pocket. Its built-in user-friendly features, ease of use, and versatility result in excellent practical usability: in addition to capturing thermal images, digital photos can also be taken for easier identification of objects to be measured, a laser pointer helps locate hot spots, and audio recordings can also be made alongside the images. The MobIR-M8 compact thermal camera, in addition to its mature technical characteristics, comes at an affordable price.
FeaturesLightweight and compact "all-in-one"
The device's size barely exceeds that of a PDA, yet in addition to the thermal imager, it also features a built-in visual camera, voice recorder, and laser pointer to aid in identifying the target object. So, it has everything needed for maintenance thermography, yet with the battery, it weighs only 350 grams!
Automatic hot spot indication and laser pointer
An automatic cursor marks the location and temperature of the hottest point on the thermal image, while the built-in laser pointer helps identify the actual location of the hot measuring point on the target object. This way, problematic areas can be quickly and accurately identified.
Audio alarm for threshold value exceedance
In case of exceeding the pre-set temperature threshold value, an automatic acoustic alarm is triggered. This ensures that dangerously hot spots are not overlooked even during quick inspections.
Instant thermal image evaluation
In addition to hot spot indication and audio alarm, the following functions assist in on-site work: evaluation of four points or four surfaces, display of isotherms, digital zoom, composite display (overlay of thermal image + photo), histogram, line profile of temperature.
Large memory capacity
The device stores data on a replaceable mini-SD card (2 GB), allowing for the storage of an infinite amount of 16-bit resolution thermal images. Each file can contain not only thermal images but also digital photos and up to 60-second audio recordings for easier identification later on. With the same memory capacity, thermal image videos of up to 30 minutes can also be stored!
PC connection
Connecting the device to a PC is extremely simple, as the MobIR-M8 has a USB 2.0 interface for downloading thermal images, as well as digital video and audio recordings. The thermal camera can be remotely controlled via an RS232 serial line or infrared remote control.
Image processing and archiving software
The device comes with Windows-based software for post-image processing, report generation, and data archiving. It is easy to use, allowing for quick viewing of measurement results and automated report generation. The above thermal cameras are marketed as complete systems, including accessories and the PC-based software.
