Both the vibration sensors and their associated signal processing electronics may vary in accuracy over time. Users of vibration measuring instruments regularly have the need to know the accuracy of their equipment. This applies to everything from simple handheld vibration measuring instruments to analyzers and installed systems. With our instrument and sensor calibration service, we strive to meet the emerging needs. It is possible to calibrate only the vibration sensor itself (without signal processing electronics), as well as complete instruments and measurement chains.
Calibration of sensors without signal processing electronics is necessary for large-scale installed systems and instruments with multiple sensors.
(* e.g. signal amplifier, signal conditioner, transmitter electronics, signal digitizer, etc. related to the sensor)
The main advantage of this method is that the accuracy of the sensor and electronics is determined together. We recommend this whenever possible.
We can perform calibration with back-to-back measurement setups at different frequencies and amplitudes - even by continuously changing one of the parameters.
| Frequency range: | 5 ... 6,500 Hz (1 ... 9,000 Hz **) |
| Vibration acceleration: | max. 50 g (max. 100 g **) |
| Sensor mass: | max. 0.2 kg (max. 0.5 kg **) |
| Accuracy: | < +/-2% (<+/-1% **) |
(** under certain calibration conditions or restrictions)
We can perform calibration with static (and in some cases dynamic) measurements.
| Displacement range: | 0 ... 4 mm |
| Max. sensor size: | max. 150x150 mm (max. 0.2 kg) |
| Accuracy: | < +/-2 µm (<+/-1% **) |
(** under certain calibration conditions or restrictions)
We can perform calibration for long-wavelength infrared sensors and instruments. For thermal cameras, calibration is performed for every pixel if the associated (manufacturer's) software allows appropriate data export.
| Measurement range: | 30°C ... 200°C (in 0.1°C increments) |
| Reference surface: | Ø 100 mm |
| Emissivity factor (LWIR): |
0.95 ±0.005 |
| Long-term stability: | < ±0.08% |
(** under certain calibration conditions or restrictions)
It is worth noting that, with limitations in accuracy, frequency, and amplitude range, on-site calibration of sensors and installed systems is also possible.

In order to carry out calibrations without delays, please consider the following:
1) Request a quote for the required calibration, providing the exact type of the device to be calibrated, and indicating whether accredited or non-accredited calibration is preferred.
2) After accepting our quote and sending the order to us via email, please coordinate with us the delivery date of the device(s) to be calibrated (via email or phone) if this has not been done during the quotation process. (Background: Both at our facility and at our partner laboratories, there are periods when calibration is temporarily suspended due to the necessary calibration of reference devices.)
3) We confirm the receipt of the device(s) to be calibrated and the acceptance of the order, initiating the calibration process simultaneously. (For calibrations in foreign laboratories, the device is sent out for calibration.)
4) We provide feedback on the expected completion/return date (required for foreign laboratories), as well as any issues that may have arisen during the calibration process. If any decisions from the client are required regarding these issues, please notify us within 3 days.
5) Upon completion of the calibration, we will send an email "completion report," hand over the devices and certificates according to the calibration order.
