Optris Xi400-T010 Thermal Camera System for Fever Detection
The German company Optris GmbH offers an advanced high-resolution fixed thermal camera system suitable for fever detection, consisting of the Optris Xi400-T010 high absolute accuracy fixed thermal camera and the Optris BR20AR reference radiator. This combination allows for high-quality real-time thermal imaging and, with the thermal camera's 80 mK thermal resolution, enables temperature measurements with an (adequate) +/- 0.9 °C absolute accuracy for fever detection. Due to its small size, industrial design (IP67), and software-controlled motorized focus (autofocus), the Xi400-T010 not only belongs to the most rugged (and smallest) thermal cameras but is also easy to install and highly versatile in applications.

Rugged and Compact Design
The small-sized (only Ø 36 mm x 100 mm) Xi400 thermal camera is primarily designed for industrial applications (as a fixed thermal camera): it features a compact design, an IP67-rated metal housing that can withstand even the harshest conditions. The T010 version (together with the Optris BR 20AR reference radiator) is capable of achieving an absolute measurement accuracy of +/-1°C, making this system suitable for fever detection.
Operation, Remote Control
Remote control of the Xi400-T010 thermal camera from a PC is easily achievable. The camera features a USB 2.0 standard interface through which, using the PIX connect software, remote control of the camera, up to 80Hz thermal image data transfer, and camera power supply can be managed. Optionally, power supply and data readout can also be done via a USB to GigE(PoE) adapter.
PC Software
The versatile 32-/64-bit PIX connect thermography software developed by Optris is compatible with Windows Win7/Win10 and is included with the thermal cameras. This software is used for evaluating stored thermal images, image documentation, and live remote control of the thermal camera. It comes with a pre-defined user interface and alarm settings specifically designed for fever detection.
