PCB 685B Vibration Switch - Thanks to their design, internal piezoelectric vibration sensor, and electronic processing unit, the PCB 685B series electronic vibration switches provide fast, accurate, wide-range adjustable, reliable machine protection. The PCB 685B series vibration switches can easily replace mechanical vibration switches with less favorable characteristics, are easy to operate, and can be applied as machine protection devices for almost any rotating machinery.

The PCB 685B series vibration switches, in addition to dual setpoint relay indication, also have a 4-20 mA vibration level output, and even the raw vibration signal output is available, providing the possibility of further processing, diagnostic deep analysis. Continuous operation, maintenance-free devices reliably monitor machine operation by monitoring their vibration levels. In case of exceeding the set vibration level, it informs the operator or can even automatically shut down the machine or equipment. The device can be used instead of existing - but outdated and maintenance-intensive - mechanical emergency shutdown devices, and also where mechanical solutions are not effective at all.

The PCB 685B series electronic vibration switches are available in various versions according to the following parameters:
  • measurement range (38.1 or 76.2 mm/s (peak))
  • power supply (24 VDC; 85...245 VAC; )
  • output relay type (relay; triac)
  • buffered output raw vibration signal (on BNC connector)
  • enclosure, protection (Nema/IP66; Class I Div 2 Group B, C, D; Class II Div 1 Group E, F, G; Class III; Ex d IIB + H2 T4)
