Sensonics MC9601 Machine Protection Unit - The Sensonics PlantScan MC9601 type multi-channel vibration monitoring-machine protection system is capable of supervising a wide variety of rotating machinery, such as fans, pumps, compressors, mills, crushers, mixers, etc. The PlantScan MC9601 ensures complete safety for the monitored machine: the device is virtually maintenance-free and performs continuous self-checks on its measuring channels and attached measuring circuits for safety purposes. The unit is capable of receiving signals from up to eight ICP-type (with built-in charge amplifier) piezoelectric vibration acceleration sensors or resistance temperature sensors.

Description

The PlantScan MC9601 processes the signals from the sensors according to the set measurement range and signal integration, and accordingly provides current signals proportional to the vibration levels (or temperature) from each channel. The buffered sensor signals are available on the BNC connector for further evaluation.

The operation of the two alarm relay outputs per channel is based on the appropriate channel signal level. If the vibration level on any channel exceeds the set alert or protection threshold, the corresponding alert or protection LED lights up, and the respective relay contact of the channel switches.

The set limits and current values can be viewed on the built-in digital display, where the signal level of each channel is displayed sequentially for five seconds each.
